Matrix has a number of the leading extradition practitioners in the country and has been involved in most of the major ground-breaking cases of recent years. Clare Montgomery QC and Julian Knowles were both instructed in the Pinochet case of 1999 and have appeared in many of the leading subsequent cases. Julian is the author of Blackstone's Guide to the Extradition Act 2003 (Oxford University Press, 2004). With Clare Montgomery QC and Clive Nicholls QC, Julian is also co-author of The Law of Extradition and Mutual Assistance (Cameron May, 2002).

In addition to specialist expertise in extradition and mutual assistance Matrix has expertise in key related areas such as free movement of persons and human rights. Raza Husain has appeared in a number of the leading cases in these areas of law.
