Matrix offers an unrivalled combination of specialist skills and experience in national and international crime.  Practising in 16 different areas, our members have a range of talent that cuts across the traditional boundaries of the Bar. 

The need for expertise in rights-based jurisprudence in the domestic and international criminal courts has never been greater, and members of matrix are recognised as having a wealth of skills and experience in these areas.  We are in the unique position of having a cross-over of leading experts in public international law and criminal practice.

- Acting for major corporations and private individuals in criminal and civil regulatory work including FSA investigations, money laundering, insider dealing, asset recovery, proceeds of crime,
confiscation proceedings, insolvency and High Court restraint proceedings

- Leading practitioners in extradition, asset restraint and confiscation, and international mutual assistance

- In-depth experience of miscarriage of justice cases and references to the CCRC.  Numerous landmark Court of Appeal and House of Lords cases, capital appeals to the Privy Council and Strasbourg litigation

- Unique blend of criminal and public law experience: acting for a range of clients in criminal-related judicial review, prosecutions and inquests relating to death or injury in prisons

- Leading authors in human rights, criminal justice, due process, extradition and asset recovery
