What Others Say

The latest editions of the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal directories recognise the strengths of Matrix members in commercial law.

Chambers & Partners 2005 recommends Matrix in a number of commercial categories -

In Competition/EU Law - 'The "ultra competent" Rhodri Thompson QC of Matrix wins support from solicitors and regulators. He acted for the OFT before the CAT in its defence of an appeal brought by Genzyme against fines imposed on it for anti-competitive pricing. His fellow colleague, Jessica Simor assisted on the Genzyme case and is also lauded as a "quality competition practitioner."'

In Fraud: Civil - 'Clare Montgomery QC of Matrix Chambers received universal praise for her fraud practice, which spans both civil and criminal sides. Sources described her as "well-respected, concise and able; in short, a stunning advocate."'

In Product Liability - Lord Daniel Brennan QC is ranked joint 2nd ‘Leading Silk’: ‘Daniel Brennan QC maintains an established profile as “one of the most popular claimant” advocates.  He is known for his involvement in the oral contraceptive case, though “he can turn his hand to anything.”' (
Chambers & Partners UK - 2005)
